Children's Ministry
Children at Good Shepherd Baptist Church have many different ways to learn about the Bible while having fun and making lasting relationships. Whether they are playing sports at Mega Sports Camp or Upwards, worshipping during Children's Church, or earning patches at AWANA, there is a place for every child that comes to Good Shepherd Baptist Church! No matter what, children are taught to love God and love people.
Come join in the fun, and see what we are talking about firsthand!
Upward
Good Shepherd Baptist Church offers both Upward Basketball as well as Upward Cheerleading. Coaches use practices and games to teach and build basketball and/or cheerleading skills while making sure the kids learn about God and have a good time. Children will also learn teamwork and build self-esteem in this program, making for a positive sports experience. During practices and every game's halftime, the Gospel is presented to athletes and spectators. For more information on how you can participate, please contact the church office or register online by clicking here.
Good News Club
Good News Club is a ministry of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in which trained teachers meet with children after school at Scott Teays Elementary two weeks each month. Each week teachers present an exciting Bible lesson. This action-packed time also includes songs, Scripture memory, a missions story, and review games or other activities focused on the lesson's theme. For more information, please contact the church office.
